matthijs van schuppen

Matthijs was born in the Netherlands but moved abroad at a young age. After growing up in Brussels and Paris, he returned to Amsterdam to study law. Photography has always been his biggest passion and creative outing. He stepped away from a career in law to plunge into the creative industry as a freelance photographer and designer.

While shooting, Matthijs goes for something aesthetically pleasing first, with the story behind an image only unfolding during the selection and editing proces. He does not focus primarily on his subjects, but uses them to tie his compositions together.
